History

 Raising Hope for Others, Inc. developed as an answer to Kathleen's dying wish to be remembered, as well as, Patrice Berman and Helen Burke's dream of developing a non-profit organization. In 2007, Laura Burke and Patrice Berman ran a fundraiser to assist Laura's cousin, Kathleen, who had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The fundraiser that summer, "Raising Hope for Kathleen",  raised funds which allowed Kathleen options beyond what her health insurance would allow. Unfortunately, Kathleen passed away in January 2008, but her memory lives on through the continuation of the seeds of hope that we planted back in 2007. Today we are officially "Raising Hope for Others, Inc." a non-profit organization. Our aim with this entity is exactly as the name implies, raising hope for others.
